1.Changing battery: Hold the meter with the Set button at your left hand side; load the left battery with positive pole toward up, and the right one with positive pole toward down.
2.When battery symbol appears with test result, it means the meter can do no more than 30 measurements and it’s time to change battery. When “E-b” is shown, please replace the batteries immediately.
1.Set button: Remove the battery cover to find the Set button at the back side of the meter.
2.Set the meter with NO strip inserted.
3.Press the M button to make changes; press Set button to move to the next step. Must go through all steps to complete the setting and it will automatically shut down.
4.To silence the meter, set the voice volume to “VOL 0”.
1.Do NOT apply blood until the blood drop symbol flashes on the screen.
2.Make sure NO alcohol residual is left before testing
3.Gently squeeze penetration site to form a semi-spherical shape of blood sample. Do NOT smear the blood sample.
4.Move the absorbent hole of the test strip to touch the drop. Do NOT apply the drop directly onto the strip.
5.When apply blood to test strip, do NOT remove from the drop until a “BEEP” is heard.
6.Do NOT try to re-apply more blood to the test strip after removing from the sample.
7.The meter provides plasma equivalent results.
8.When patients claim the readings are higher/lower to other meters, it does NOT necessarily mean the meter is inaccurate. List down the brand name and readings.
9.Use test strips for only 3 months after first opening.
10.Readings are accurate when control solution test results fall within the range listed on strip vial.
1.Control solution, meter, and test strip should be thermally equilibrium under room temperature for 30 minutes before testing.
2.Press the C button to enter “QC” / “CTL”mode to perform the testing.
3.Shake the vial well before using.
4.Make sure NO alcohol residual is left on the cap.
5.Do NOT apply control solution until the blood drop symbol flashes on the screen.
6.Move the absorbent hole of the test strip to touch the drop. Do NOT apply the drop directly onto the strip.
7.When apply control solution to test strip, do NOT remove from the drop until a “BEEP” is heard.
8.Do NOT try to re-apply more control solution to the test strip after removing from the sample.
9.Readings lower than tolerance range may indicate the control solution turns bad. Higher readings may result from moistened strips or alcohol residual on the cap.
10.To conduct another test, discard the sample and prepare a new drop. Do NOT test the sample drop more than once.
11.Use control solution for only 3 months after first opening.

2.Use 4-pin-RS232/USB cable to connect to your computer with “PC” appears on the screen.
3.Use 4-pin-RS232 cable to connect to Gateway.
